Beautiful Feet

During the summer members of Oakwood Road are leaving for a mission trip to North Carolina, as we did last year.  North Carolina is in many ways a mission field.  Many people in NC have never even heard of the Church of Christ.  We support a small but growing church in the town of Rocky Mount.  Like last year we are planning a door-knocking campaign.  Last year roughly 1300 houses received information on the church, thanks to our help.  In the evenings we had game nights and lively fellowship encouraging the local members as well as ourselves.  One afternoon during a heavy thundershower, we sang hymns, learning several new songs.  A trip like this is an excellent way to work your evangelism muscles, to develop a spark or redevelop enthusiasm for reaching out to others.  Whenever we go on these types of trips we learn and grow.  However much we give, we receive more.

Romans 10:15 states:  And how shall they preach unless they are sent?  Just as it is written, “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring glad tidings of Good things.”
